What Facebook Users Should Know about Account Blockage

Apparently quite a few personal accounts said to be blocked or disabled on facebook. It is never easy to determine why unless facebook informs the user about their misbehaviors. But what if no emails were sent to you?

Avoid using the same feature repeatingly

Before you plan for any complaints to be made, understand first: Facebook system will stop behaviors that suspecting to cause annoyance or abusive to other users. For example, if you keep sending friend requests to others after being warned by facebook, it is most likely you will be temporary disabled from that feature. Therefore, avoid using the same feature in a short period of time.

User blocked from sending messages

The condition is the same as the above. Whilst sending multiple new messages in short period of time is risky, the block may also apply on replying messages. Deleting old messages will not help in lifting the block, so always be cautious to not hit the limit again.

Unable to send friend requests

Facebook advises users to send friend requests only to people they know.  If you are been prevented from adding friends, it’s likely you have too many unanswered friend requests on queue. Remove the requests by visiting their profile (click x to delete) and watch out for any personal contact with them that made them report you for being someone they don’t know.

When will the block be lifted?

I bet you are interested to know how long will the block be lifted – there is no exact timing, ranges from few hours to days, or weeks.  Attempt to use the same feature during the block will extend the period. According to facebook, they cannot lift this block for any reasons, thus to survive through the wait is the way.

What to do after the block is lifted?

No matter how urgent your request can be, you should slow down and limit your use on that feature. Possible your account may be still monitored so any misuse may result in further blocking, even it means to disable your account permanently.

Facebook has not been completely clear how their system gauge our behaviors. Different factors like speed, quantity and time may have something to do with it. A lot of users may feel troubled or even angered by such unclear instructions, but to be honest, if a user is been bombarded with spamming requests, the protection is understandable.

So how do you deal with Personal Account Been Disabled on Facebook? You will find out in our next post.
