How to Generate Unique ID for a Website for Facebook Comments Plugin
Previously we had talked about adding facebook comments plugin to your blog for extra visibility from Facebook users. There is one term ‘Unique ID’ that captures the readers’ attention and a few had requested on ways to get it.
While generating code for a social plugin, you will see a command stating that XFBML requires JavaScript SDK to work. As for JS it requires users to register application with Facebook beforehand to create an application ID for your site, and that’s how we should get our unique ID.
Here I will be using Faebook as an example so follow the instructions below for your own blog or website.
- Create an Application here by filling in the required details.
2. The Application ID (Unique ID) for your site will be generated.
You should know by now that these are the basic steps in creating a Facebook Application. While we do not have to go in depth with this, it’s just for your information that app developers can fill up details and edit settings in their Developer Dashboard:
