7 Major Changes to Facebook Page Admin Control Panel (Edit Page)
Lots of changes going on in Facebook lately, from Facebook spam filter and name-change (refer to How to Change Your Facebook Page Name), this time edit page section had a grand make over! Today we will give a thorough check and discover where are those missing options that used to be in one page view:
Manage Permissions
The option to un-publish a page is replaced by ‘Page Visibility’. A tick at ‘only admins can see this page’ will hide it from public view. Wall setting for photos, videos and posts visibility from fans can also be found here. Another major shift you should know is the ‘Delete Page’, it is no longer at the top but right beneath the posting ability settings. One click and your page will be deleted permanently.
Basic Information
Every detail you need to fill up about your page can be done here. I like it how Facebook put all these field boxes in one place so we can get them done at once.
Marketing
‘Marketing’ section is where you can find ‘Send an Update’ to fans. A lot of people have overlooked this and thought facebook removed this function. You can access your Like box code and page badge here, practically everything you need to promote and advertise your page.
Manage Admins
To add and remove admins can be carried out right from this section. Type your friend’s name or email, hit enter on your keyboard to load their profile image, but to confirm the add you need to ‘Save Changes’. Same thing if you are removing someone, which to me is a thoughtful feature. Previously it was too easy to ‘accidentally’ remove anybody including myself as the only admin. Thanks to ‘Save Changes’ facebook gives us a second chance to right the wrong-clicks.
Applications
Added applications to page are collected under ‘Applications’. Edit settings and Go to Application are still very much work the same, just the ‘remove’ is at the far end of the row. If you are keen enough, you should see suggested applications been given to you at the bottom of this section. Helpful.
Mobile
Email, iPhone and text messaging – every configuration about a mobile device is here. Go through them, get yourself ready with mobile posting to your fan page.
Facebook Insights and Pages Help are the last two options you should pay attention to. I will cover Insights in coming weeks so be sure to subscribe to Faebook.Org if you are interested to know more about this outstanding analytical tool for facebook. Pages Help gives you the access to a bountiful of Q&A resources and facebook help center discussions.
Do you think these changes are a good fit? Tell us in the comments.

Please, please tell me there is a way to, “manage permissions and edit information” to all the facebook pages I am the administrator to. It is going to take forever to do it one page at a time. I have spam about diet supplements and money opportunities on Trust pages that encourage not to support these types of organizations. It is hard for me to believe I would be the first to ask this but I have not found an answer.
